In Africa, agriculture and sustainable blue economies are fundamental to supporting livelihoods and driving economic growth in local communities. They play a vital role in building sustainable, resilient food systems and developing community-based economies. In recent years, growing global attention and policy prioritization have been directed toward these sectors due to challenges such as climate change, geopolitical risks, resource vulnerabilities, and rapid demographic shifts.

This side event will host African heads of state, representatives from international organizations, and other key stakeholders to explore diverse approaches to strengthening cooperation and international partnerships.

We are currently recruiting in-person participants (approximately 100 people) for this side event, which will be held at the TICAD9 venue at Pacifico Yokohama.
